48″ sawhorse, 30″ tall
A 48-inch 2×4 sawhorse at a 30-inch working height. Build two for a cutting station.

How to build it
- Cut the beam at 48″, four legs at 31″ and two braces at 17″. Angle the top and bottom of each leg at 15° so the legs splay outward.
- Screw two legs to each end of the beam, one on each face, with the angled tops flush.
- Stand it up and check it's steady at 30″. Trim a leg if it rocks.
- Screw a brace across each pair of legs about 8″ from the floor.
- Treat the beam as sacrificial. You'll cut into it over time, and that's the point.
